Back in August, I travelled over to Oxfordshire for this stunning Henley on Thames wedding. Rebecca and Toby flew all the way over from Perth, Australia to get married in front of their dearest friends and family, and the English sun obliged by shining on them all day. Rebecca’s father lives in one of the townhouses in the stunningly converted Victorian mansion that you can see in the first image below. I didn’t meet Rebecca or Toby until the day of the wedding, for obvious reasons, but I knew as soon as I arrived and met her that this was going to be a very special day.
The wedding brought together the Australian and the Scottish sides of the families, as you can probably see by the kilts! Rebecca looked so beautiful in her ivory gown, very old Hollywood, I thought. The love shone out of this couple all day, I could see how happy they make each other. Rebecca and her father walked into the ceremony accompanied by a Scottish piper.
After an emotional ceremony in the grounds of the mansion, the wedding party moved on to the Crooked Billet pub nearby for the meal. I loved all the little details and touches that Rebecca and Toby had worked so hard on. The place looked amazing. Music for the afternoon was provided by Kat Eaton. Check her music out here.
Thank you to Adrian Fisk, for being such a brilliant assistant photographer on the day.
Rebecca, on seeing the slideshow:
“They’re beautiful – Love love love them!! I had to get the tissues out the second time we watched the slideshow. Picking for the album won’t be easy, they are all so beautiful! We will definitely share with family and friends. We only realised after watching the slide show that we didn’t even notice you in the room at the Crooked Billet!!
