This was my first time photographing a wedding at the stunning Addington Palace in Surrey, and I truly hope it’s not the last. Al and Hannah’s colourful modern wedding is right up there in my top three weddings of 2014. So, so much emotion and colour and happiness, I could barely keep up. As I’ve mentioned before, talented singer/songwriter Al and I go way back to My Space days when I first photographed him (follow the link and check out his music!). I hadn’t met Hannah until the day of the wedding, but she was everything I’d expected and more (and SO gorgeous). They are such a great couple and I know they will have a fabulous life together.
The day started at St Mary’s church, and then it was on to Addington Palace for the reception. Big thanks go to Emmie Scott for her help on the day.

I am starting to love receiving lines. I know, it was a shock to me too…

Of course I had to take them out again, just look at that light.

Just before the first dance, Al surprised Hannah by suddenly announcing that they weren’t going to do their dance just yet, he was handed a guitar and sang the most perfect version of Flowers in the Window by Travis. There wasn’t a dry eye in the house, including mine. My moment of the year. I love my job.

Then it was time for the ceilidh! Again, something I love shooting. So much movement and people really get into it. It makes for such fun photographs.

I had the best time ever. Thank you, Al and Hannah, for asking me to be a part of this amazing day.
