Katie and Rich tied the knot in a beautiful church in Essex, right next door to Katie’s parents’ house. Katie got ready at home and then, after the service, all the guests walked back round to the house for the most glorious marquee reception in the garden. I raved about this garden in their preview blog post, but it really was quintessentially English, packed with gorgeous flowers and lush green shrubs. Even a heavy downpour, as we all left the church, didn’t dampen spirits on the day. Katie wore a stunning vintage style beaded wedding gown, and she accessorised it with navy blue nail polish and strong red lips. Rich was her equal in a beautifully fitted cornflower blue suit. I loved all the details of this wedding, such as the Formula One themed table names.

Although I wasn’t permitted at the front of the church during the ceremony, I could see how emotional it was for Katie and Rich.

And down came the rain …

Poor Katie, her dress took quite a battering during the course of the muddy day.

My 2014 wedding season has now come to an end. I’ve had such an amazing year this year, and I feel so honoured that all my couples have asked me to share their days with them. I genuinely can’t wait for 2015 now. x
