I know it’s been nearly a year since Addy and Jack’s glorious winter wedding at Dine at The Mansion Roundhay Park in Leeds, but … I keep forgetting to blog. (Doesn’t everyone just use Instagram now anyway?!). I don’t think I’ve ever been so cold at a wedding – it was around -2 degrees and the wind was BITTER. You’d never guess that from this gorgeous couple’s faces, though.
Bridal preparation happened in this extraordinary penthouse suite at The Chambers in Leeds. That VIEW. I adored Addy’s little circular pearl bag and her pearlised stunning shoes. Not to mention her ornate lacy wedding gown from Ukrainian designer Innocentia. Because it was so, so cold, Addy’s choice of a Rolls Royce to take her to the church didn’t happen, and we ended up travelling in a far more sensible 4×4 BMW. After an emotional service in St Giles church, which meant so much to them both, the entire wedding party travelled by vintage bus to The Mansion Roundhay Park for the reception.
Addy and Jack were absolute troopers during our fifteen minute portrait shoot outside, then it was a quick dash back inside to get warm, and to drink champagne. A delicious dinner, raucous speeches, a fun cake cutting and to end, a mad dancefloor. All in all, a brilliant day.
