Aimee and Matt’s wedding at Hackney Town Hall was everything I hoped it would be when I first spoke to Aimee. I knew as soon as she told me that she’d chosen a Halfpenny London dress that the day would be über stylish, and quintessentially English. And how stunning are the floral arrangements from The Village Florist in Higham Park! Matt wore black tie (another one!!!) from Suit Supply. I have to say, Hackney Town Hall is one of my absolute favourite wedding venues in London. There is nowhere else in the city with the drama and modern aesthetic of the two atrium at this town hall. The staff are also wonderful.
After an emotional ceremony in the North atrium at Hackney Town Hall, the guests moved on to the Royal Inn on the Park in Hackney, by vintage London bus. Matt, Aimee and I slipped away into Victoria Park, where we took some relaxed portraits. I love this part of the day, away from the hustle and bustle of the wedding. It’s when the newly married couple can relax a little, and enjoy their first few moments of marriage together.
After the portraits it was back to the Royal Inn on the Park for the reception. Aperol Spritzes and canapés, along with (some very funny) speeches. After dinner, everyone moved back outside for more drinks, while the room was turned around for the cake cutting and the first dance. Such a brilliant day – thanks so much for having me along, guys. 🙂
