Now that the 2019 season has slowed down (and we’ve settled into our new home!), I finally have some time to concentrate on blogging some of the wonderful weddings that I have been honoured to photograph this year. I’m kicking off with Ellie and Nick’s elegant and intimate east London wedding at Leyton Great Hall. It was my first time shooting at Leyton Great Hall, and I really hope it’s not my last! It’s a gorgeous Grade II listed Victorian building with high ceilings and typically beautiful tiling on the floors. The staff were brilliant and the day ran like clockwork. I thought Ellie looked incredible in her Hollywood style crushed silk gown (Nick didn’t look too shabby, either!).
After the emotional ceremony, the bridal party took a wander over to the nearby Coronation Gardens, clutching their Aperol Spritz cocktails, so that we could grab some photos. Nick is from New Zealand and Ellie is English, so it was a fun mix of characters (as you can tell from the group shots!). Then it was back to the hall for the speeches and the wedding breakfast.
My favourite guest of the day was Ellie and Nick’s gorgeous (and well behaved) Schnauzer called Wolfgang Amadeus (better known as Wolfie!).
I don’t know what was going on in the image below, but it makes me smile regardless. 😉
