Sara and I met each other nearly seventeen years ago, so you can just imagine how delighted I was when she asked me to photograph her Pangdean Barn wedding to the lovely Paul. Although they had originally booked another venue for their big day, unfortunately it went out of business a few months after they booked. The hunt was on for a new venue! We all agreed that Pangdean Barn in Sussex, was in the end, a perfect venue for them, and in no way was it second best. The staff are amazing, and everything ran like clockwork.
Sara got ready at their home in nearby Haywards Heath, and then we made our way to the barn. Now, you know how obsessed I get with weather on wedding days? Well, it started raining at about 12:30pm, and IT DID NOT STOP until around 7:30pm. I was starting to despair that we would manage any couple portraits. I needn’t have worried, though, when it finally paused, we got what I suspect may be some of my favourite portraits of the year (and it’s only May). The fog lent a really magical air to the images, soft and moody. Sara looked so beautiful in a stunning Rosa Clara dress dotted with delicate beading, Benjamin Adams shoes and the most spectacular bouquet by Chez Fleur, full of blowsy peonies and roses. She beamed all day, and it was such a joy to see how much she and Paul adore each other.
This is just a small preview, as I’m trying to catch Sara and Paul before they jet off on their honeymoon. I hope you two have an amazing trip away, and thank you again for asking me to be a part of your special day! Big love xxx
