Asylum Chapel is one of those wedding venues that every London wedding photographer has on their bucket list. It’s STUNNING. Built in 1826, the chapel was bombed in WWII, but somehow the stained glass windows were spared. The pockets of light that happen over the course of the day are just sublime. The texture of the walls and the soft tones make for the most beautiful backdrop for a wedding. (Not just weddings, actually! Joan Armatrading chose the chapel for her intimate show in 2022).
Charlotte and Adam’s aesthetic was perfect for the venue, as you can see! Charlotte wore a simple off-white white Zara suit (very Bianca Jagger!). Adam’s stylish suit was from Thom Browne. After the service (conducted by Charlotte’s mum!), everyone gathered to nibble on fabulous Indian food. Then it was speeches – by Charlotte’s father, Adam, his mum and Charlotte’s brother. Then it was time for confetti, a few family group shots, and then the couple portraits.
Before leaving Asylum Chapel to head to their reception in Soho, Charlotte changed into a vibrant pink sari and we took a few more portraits. I had the BEST day.
“We absolutely adore them; they’re exactly what we had in mind and the whole set have come out beautifully!”
