Now, I should begin this post by making it clear that Leon and I were simply guests at this wedding.  Carl is a press photographer friend of Leon’s, and therefore there were loads of other press photographers in attendance.  I did feel for the official photographer as they ALL brought their big guns 😉 The wedding was held at the stunning Walcot Hall in Shropshire.

Leon chose to shoot film and I decided I was simply going to take the amazingly compact Panasonic Lumix GF1 and my iphone.  I’ve raved about the Lumix in the past, but am still impressed with its capabilities, considering it’s so small.  It handles noise pretty well, too – I was having to shoot at ISOs of 1600 by the last Lumix picture in this post, and I didn’t need to run any kind of noise reduction on the images.

This little sweetheart had the CUTEST sneer.

This is what Kamila and Carl walked out to.  Pretty daunting huh 😉  That’s Leon in the pale grey suit with his Grandfather’s Dolly SuperSport bellows camera. If you get a moment, check his blog post out about it – HERE.

Kamila gave Carl a YashicaFlex C camera as a wedding gift.  It’s a beautiful thing.

How amazing is this little field of flowers in front of the building?

They hid a Mojito Bar in this little grotto.

Will wasn’t happy about Leon’s poor tie tying so gave him a lesson.

Friend and multimedia photojournalist John D McHugh filmed the wedding for Carl and Kamila.

Mr Wintercross showing the lads how it’s done.

Will brought his Polaroid camera but it seemed some of the film was a bit … iffy.

I LOVE this shot of Carl.

I think this is probably the coolest idea I have ever seen at a wedding…  A piñata for the kids and a bumble bee version for Carl and Kamila.

I know there are loads of pictures below but come ON…

And to end, a handful of iPhone images that I liked from the day.

For the photographers among you, I edited all of the Lumix pictures using only the new Totally Rad ‘Radlab’ filters.  I was honoured to be asked to be a beta tester for them and I will do a full blog post soon on how incredible they are.  Have a look in the meantime at their site – http://www.gettotallyrad.com/

Haha, brilliant wedding, looked great fun. Loads of characters and no pressure at all for the official tog right! The venue looks amazing, loving that turquoise. Kamila looks absolutely gorgeous. Love all the shots but the iPhone shots are my favourite.

Lovely photos and goes to show that good photography isn't all about having a big camera with a big lens. Now I want a Panasonic GF1 though!

Please, please can you enlighten me or find out who the bride's beautiful dress was by? Going dress-hunting this weekend (am Quintessentially's in-house bride) and love it almost as much as I adore the candour, obvious delight and felicity of the photos. Many, many thanks in advance! XXX
