It’s always nerve-wracking being asked to photograph a fellow wedding photographer’s wedding, but Laura quickly put me at ease when I arrived and I just loved this fun, quirky wedding day at Broyle Place in West Sussex. Not only does Laura understand about how important lighting is at a wedding venue, but her fiancé Ross is a chef, so the food was amazing too! I loved her vintage style dress and amazing shoes. We had perfect weather, as you can see from the images below. I was just heading home in the evening when I realised how perfect the sunset was turning out to be, so I ran back in from the car park to drag Ross and Laura back out for some more portraits. So glad I did! Many thanks to the lovely Anna Pumer who helped me out on the day.
Laura’s reaction on seeing the highlights slideshow made me smile for days…
“Oh my god they’re beautiful!! We are both sooo happy! My eyes were streaming with happy tears after the second photo! Especially the one of my dad first seeing me! He never usually gets soppy about things so this is possibly one of the most special of any of our family photos we’ve now got. The first thing I said after the slideshow was “I need to email her! I need to blow my nose!” The getting ready photos are gorgeous! I love the one of Suzie (the blonde one) grinning! We love all of them, you’re amazing! Can’t wait to see the rest, I’m going to have to take out shares in a tissue company!”

These shoes rock. They’re from Irregular Choice in Carnaby Street.
