Back in July last year, I photographed the most gorgeous Savile Club wedding for Caroline and Craig. Caroline grew up in her parents’ beautiful house in Hampstead in North London, so it was a given that she and Craig would be married in the area, and in fact, her parents’ house shares a fence with the church that they were married in (St John-At-Hampstead)! After the service, three London Routemaster buses took the wedding party and the 150 guests to the Savile Club in Mayfair for a sparkling reception. I just adore Caroline’s lustrous red hair. I thought she looked radiant.
I have to give huge thanks to the talented Matthew Long, who was my assistant photographer for the day, and he really did a spectacular job. I love his shots of the guests at the church.

I set myself a new record with the part of the day devoted to the portraits of the couple. Because the buses were about to leave, I managed to do all of their portraits in under five minutes!

The Savile Club is one of the most beautiful venues in London. In 1890 it was refurbished by a firm of Parisian architects and the decor really reflects this. I love the silvery powdery blue tones of the left hand side of the first floor reception room, while the right hand side is pure gold bling.

You all know by now how much I love a London wedding, and I’m delighted that I have many more lined up for 2015.
