So the weather hasn’t been that reliable in the last five weeks, but we managed to dodge most of the (hailstone!) showers at Aaron and Jodie’s Twickenham Rowing club wedding on Saturday. In fact, the weather was never going to dampen the excitement of getting married for these two. They had meticulously planned this day and it really showed. So many great details (beer pong!), and I loved the punchy colour theme of coral and navy. Even the registrar seemed to have got the memo, ha ha! Jodie beamed all day, as you can see from the photographs. How gorgeous did she look?! I adored her sparkly Jimmy Choos, too. She and Aaron were a total joy to photograph and are such warm genuine people. I can always tell a lot about a couple by their guests and I knew instantly it was going to be a fun wedding!
Jodie got ready at The Petersham Hotel in Richmond, then we travelled to the gorgeous York House in Twickenham. When it wasn’t being hailed on, the conservatory room that the service was held in was beautifully light and airy. More of those ceremony venues, please!
Then it was on to the Twickenham Rowing Club on Eel Pie Island nearby. Wow, what a very special place this is. It’s truly an iconic part of the UK, with its long musical history. Aaron and Jodie had decorated the venue themselves with fairy lights and fun party games for all ages. I had a blast at this wedding and as usual, this ‘little preview’ ends up being much longer than I intended. Oh well!
NAUGHTY mum and dad. *wags finger*
Happy birthday to both of you! And have an amazing trip to Barcelona xxx
