I love discovering new wedding venues in London, so I was delighted to be asked to shoot a wedding at the House of Commons. I didn’t even realise that they did wedding ceremonies! Kate and James love their politics, and James knows so much about British history, so it was a perfect choice of venue for them. The day started at the Conrad St James hotel nearby, then we made our way to the Jubilee Room in the Houses of Parliament. I have to admit, it was pretty fun being swept past the queues of visitors by the security staff into this amazing building!
After the emotional service, we took a few minutes to do some couple portraits inside the Houses of Parliament, then it was on to the Red Lion pub nearby for wedding cake and drinks. The day ended at the Haymarket Hotel near Trafalgar Square. Doesn’t Kate look incredible in her Jenny Packham shoes and her lace gown from the Ella Rosa collection at Kenneth Winston. Her amazing bouquet is from Wild at Heart flowers.
Here is a little preview of the day for you, Kate and James. I hope you have a fabulous honeymoon, and I’ll be in touch when you get back! xxx
