I know I’ve banged on and on about this in the past, but I really can’t stress enough how important it is to print your photographs.  Not just your wedding images, although, they are of course very important, but your personal images, taken at home and on holiday. There is nothing like the printed image.

I’m guilty of not doing this enough myself, but I vow that from now on, if I love a photograph, I’m going to add it to a folder on my desktop and every month or so, send them all off to be printed.  *late New Year’s resolution*

I recently spent a week at my father’s house in South Africa, and took the opportunity to rifle through the old family photo albums.  My mother, thankfully, was brilliant at collating the family photographs and, even better, she wrote the details on the rear of the prints. That’s another thing I plan to do more of.

Do you print your images?  If so, do you make photo books with them, or do you use the old fashioned stick-em-in-yourself books?

I’ll do a full blog post of the South Africa pictures soon.  Happy 2014!

My old lecturer always used to say "Love Technology, Trust Paper. Wise words for any couple wanting "disc only".
