Back in June, I photographed the amazing Holland Park Orangery wedding of Annabelle and Eduardo.  Although they are now based in London, Annabelle is Malaysian and Eduardo is Spanish, so this made the day a fantastic eclectic mix of people and cultures.  They chose to be married at Hammersmith and Fulham Town Hall, followed by drinks at their West London flat.  Then the entire wedding party moved on to the beautiful Holland Park Orangery for the wedding breakfast.  I had such a wonderful day with these two and I think I have rarely seen such a well-matched loving couple.  By the way, I’m loving the new yellow theme that seems to be occurring in all my 2013 weddings!  It’s my favourite colour, if you hadn’t guessed by now.

From Eduardo and Annabelle when they received their slideshow link and then the images:

“OMG!!! The slideshow is AMAAAAAZING!!! I just watched it with Becky my bridesmaid in the office and loved every second of the video that you made – we were not expecting this, but such a nice surprise! Thank you so much!  I will be watching this video over and over again today!

The photographs are really, really fantastic and the colours are just perfect! I can’t believe how amazing they are!  You’ve made everyone look fantastic and I’m really glad we got some nice photos from our super super quick photo-shoot in the park, before the rain came along again!  We both think you were fantastic on the day and we’re very lucky because you turned out to be the perfect person to photograph our day. It was amazing how you blended in with all our friends and family. Your service has been more than we expected and it was such an absolute pleasure working with you. We will be sure to recommend you to our friends.”

I have to say that nothing makes me love this job more than when my clients love their photographs.  That may sound sappy, but it really is the reason I do this.

Many thanks to Ashton Jean-Pierre for helping me out with the first part of the day.

Annabelle Skyping her family back in Malaysia before leaving for the ceremony.  I really felt for her being so far from her family and friends.

Strictly speaking, I wasn’t allowed to take photographs during the service, but I snuck a few in once they were officially husband and wife.

Back at their apartment, drinks and canapés were served and everyone relaxed for a couple of hours while the heavens opened outside.

Sensible woman.  😉

In the excitement, a glass of white wine was spilled on Annabelle’s dress, so some ‘airing out’ was required.

Eduardo’s father has the most incredible eyes.

We only had ten/fifteen minutes to do the couple portraits before the heavens opened again, and Annabelle had to make a run for it!  I love this shot.

There was a Belgian contingent of guests who kept breaking into song, it was fabulous.

Annabelle and Eduardo, I wish you all the very best for the future.  I know you will have amazing lives together.

Wonderful photos as usual Kirsten, the portraits are gorgeous I also particularly love the group shots with the drummer! Beautiful bride and I just love the intimacy of this wedding. It appears that the guest list was small and all the finishings and frills decadent. The perfect combination I think.
